Brief Outline of project:
My Project has seriously changed since the first pitch I have put the other idea on hold due to lack of technical knowledge and not wanting to rush it and get it wrong. My new project is a mockumentary based on a first year student flat it follows the exploit of one student as he shows a camera crew 21st century student life, my aim is to poke fun at what being a freseher is like and how its not all its cracked up to be for everyone.
Inspiration:
My inspiration has come from lots of sources. For the script my main inspiration has been real life but I have also looked into books on how to write comedy for the screen. stylistically my inspirations have been from:

What makes it Different/Exciting/Engaging/Creative?:
Student life shown in the way I want to show it is very different to things out at the moment like skins where everyone is exciting and is good looking it will be exciting in the the stylish cuts and the production values. It will engage with the audience by hopefully relating to their experiences and will hopefully teach some people that Uni isnt just one big piss up. I think my most creative stroke will be in the marketing I will set up My Space profiles for the flatmates to make them seem more believable to the audience people will be able to find out about the characters and become friends with them. Where am I logistically?:
The script is completed if but for a few tweaks here or there I have a detailed storyboard, a treatment with dates of pricipal photography, character profiles and have had a location recce at Callice Court and now in contact with them about shooting dates. I also have a rough budget of £500 (hoping for some sweet free locations) and is broken down in the treatment.
Moving Forward:
The next big step is casting I have given myself about a month to cast and I really think could make or break the project the script is based on the actor knowing their character and being comfortable in their skin.
Crew is something else needs finalising, I have approached a few people with certain jobs but still need more for the actual shoot days.
